Audio Distortion

 

In the past few months I’ve had several S-Line units both 75S-( ) and KWM-2/2A that have exhibited severe audio distortion.  In addition, each unit also continued to have audio output even when AF gain control was at minimum.

The source of this problem is the 100 ufd cathode bypass on the first audio stage.   It must be replaced when these symptoms are present.
